Job description

We are seeking an Information Security Analyst to manage network defense systems, endpoint security platforms, and cross-border data protection infrastructure across our Laredo technology operations. You will oversee daily threat monitoring, execute vulnerability remediation protocols, direct incident triage, and enforce corporate security policies., * Monitor network telemetry and security alerts using SIEM tools, EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), and next-generation firewalls.

  • Conduct weekly network vulnerability scans using tools like Nessus or Qualys, prioritize risk exposures, and coordinate patch deployment with system administrators.
  • Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) permissions within Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID based on Zero Trust / Least Privilege access principles.
  • Investigate security anomalies, analyze raw log data (Windows Event Logs, Syslog, PCAP files), and execute incident response procedures.
  • Perform regular infrastructure configuration audits against CIS Benchmarks and NIST CSF guidelines to ensure operational compliance.
  • Lead phishing simulation programs, monitor employee completion rates, and manage security awareness training initiatives across local teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, Security Operations Center (SOC) analysis, or network administration with a security focus.
  • Active industry certification required, such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GIAC (GSEC), or CISSP.
  • Direct technical experience configuring firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco Firepower), SIEM software (Splunk or LogRhythm), and endpoint protection suites.
  • Strong technical understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS inspection, and VPN tunnel security.
  • Permanent legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer visa sponsorship.
