Senior AWS Cloud Solutions Architect

• After onboarding, consultant will work primarily remote.
• Approximately 3 onsite days per month as scheduled by the manager.

• Travel expenses for onsite requirements are the responsibility of the consultant., We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect / Cloud Engineer Consultant to support the Department of Technology Operations with statewide cloud initiatives, deployment, migration, and management of shared cloud services.

This role will assist in developing the State’s cloud strategy, supporting AWS and Azure environments, managing cloud governance, and helping agencies transition to a managed cloud broker model., The project requires support for statewide cloud initiatives, including:

• AWS and Azure cloud deployment and management.
• Cloud migration activities.
• Development of statewide cloud strategy.
• Supporting agencies with cloud adoption.
• Managing shared cloud services through a managed cloud broker., * Perform system administration, automation, and development activities for the Cloud Management Platform (CMP).
• Support AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure operations.
• Assist with migration activities from existing environments to cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with DTO teams and agency stakeholders during cloud adoption.
• Maintain availability and continuity of shared cloud services.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards and governance practices.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform.
• Support cloud security, compliance, and operational best practices.
• Provide technical leadership, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
