Job description

Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Dynamics department. Dynamics: The branch of mechanics that deals with motion of systems under action of forces usually from outside the system., * Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment

  • Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
  • Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
  • Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
  • Other - Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Under general supervision; completes intermediate technical and mechanical procedures, regularly interacts with clients, troubleshoots and reworks standard tests. Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical & Dynamics principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices; basic understanding of AC/DC circuits
  • Able to use all standard Dynamics equipment; able to accurately capture necessary data; basic MS Office skills
  • Basic MS Office skills

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS degree preferred.
  • 2-6 Years of experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises
