Job description

The Cardiovascular Technologist specializing in Electrophysiology (EP) at the Hackensack location is responsible for assisting physicians with invasive cardiac, peripheral diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures, including pacemaker placements and device management. The role involves working closely with the cath lab team in a fast-paced environment to ensure precise and efficient patient care during complex procedures such as intra-procedural mapping, ablation, and implant device management., * Schedule: 8-hour shifts between 8AM and 7:30PM, with 5 days per week or 4 days of 10 hours each. Weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications: Graduates of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist program, Radiologic Technologist program, or possess an Associates degree in Applied Science (AAS). Certifications include AHA Basic Life Support (BLS). Within 1 year of hire, must pass the RCIS exam given by the Certification Corporation International (CCI) or hold a Radiologic Technologist License.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
  • Skills: Knowledge of electrophysiology intra-procedural mapping, ablation, and implant devices; proficiency in sterile scrub technique; excellent verbal and written communication; proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
  • Experience: Zero years of experience required; familiarity with cath lab and electrophysiology procedures preferred.
