Job description
The Student Worker will support application development projects by creating and maintaining user help documentation, documenting business processes, and assisting with testing new application functionality. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development, business analysis, technical writing, and quality assurance., * Create and update user guides, training materials, and process documentation.
- Test new applications, features, and system updates to verify functionality and identify potential issues.
- Document test results, report defects, and assist with tracking issues through resolution.
- Review existing documentation and recommend updates or improvements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned., A ULEO Apprentice will be eligible for promotion to ULEO 1 upon attendance and successful completion of a certified Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA). Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Interest in application development, business analysis, technical documentation, or software testing.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team., * The complete application will be the sole criteria used by Human Resources to determine eligibility, which will be based on the minimum qualifications.
- Required Attachments: You MUST attach a copy of your high school/college diploma or GED by uploading documents to the Additional Documents section of your application.
- Candidates must pass a physical agility assessment, background investigation, polygraph examination, psychological assessment, and a written test.
