Job description

As a Senior IT System Administrator (Linux/EDA/Semicon), you will play a key role in supporting a complex engineering environment used by semiconductor development teams. You will administer Linux-based infrastructure, virtualization platforms, storage systems, networking components, and EDA-related services while contributing to infrastructure improvements, automation initiatives, and operational excellence., Infrastructure Administration

  • Deploy, administer, and maintain Linux-based infrastructure supporting semiconductor and ASIC development.
  • Manage VMware vSphere, ESXi, and virtual server environments.
  • Maintain storage platforms, backup systems, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and service disruptions.
  • Support infrastructure across multiple sites and remote engineering teams.

EDA & Engineering Environment Support

  • Support engineering environments used for semiconductor and ASIC design.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues affecting simulations, EDA tools, and engineering workflows.
  • Maintain EDA license servers and supporting infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with design and verification teams to optimize system performance.
  • Assist in implementing customer-specific secure environments and engineering requirements.

Network & Security Administration

  • Support network infrastructure including VLANs, VPNs, routing, firewalls, and access controls.
  • Implement and maintain secure infrastructure configurations.
  • Support infrastructure compliance and security best practices.
  • Participate in infrastructure audits and documentation activities.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and operational tools.
  • Contribute to infrastructure standardization and modernization initiatives.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies that improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Support monitoring and alerting solutions for proactive infrastructure management.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT System Administrator (Linux/EDA/Semicon) to support and maintain the critical infrastructure that enables semiconductor and ASIC design activities. This role is ideal for a highly skilled Linux professional with strong expertise in infrastructure operations, virtualization, networking, automation, and engineering computing environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and scalability of EDA infrastructure supporting design, verification, simulation, and tape-out activities. The role requires close collaboration with engineering teams across Europe, US and India and therefore excellent verbal and written English communication skills are essential., This is a hands-on technical role suited for an infrastructure professional who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges., * Terraform

  • Proven experience supporting enterprise Linux environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience working within mission-critical technical or engineering environments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent English language skills (written and spoken) are mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with international engineering and IT teams.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting Semiconductor, ASIC, FPGA, EDA, HPC, or engineering computing environments.
  • Familiarity with Cadence or similar EDA tool ecosystems.
  • Experience supporting geographically distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 environments.
  • Exposure to semiconductor development workflows and tape-out processes., Language Requirement: Fluent English (mandatory)
