Job description
We are seeking a Helpdesk Infrastructure Engineer to join a supportive and forward-thinking IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional to expand their technical knowledge while working with a diverse range of systems, customers, and technologies. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day technical support, helping customers resolve issues and ensuring their IT environments continue to operate effectively. The role will cover a variety of technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, networking, and cloud-based solutions. The position will involve delivering support remotely, with occasional travel to customer locations to assist with on-site technical requirements., * Provide IT support by phone, email, and remote access.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Support customer computers, servers, networks, and cloud systems.
- Install and configure hardware and software.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Create and update technical documentation.
- Carry out occasional on-site customer support.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced IT support professional with:
- 3+ years’ experience in an IT support or infrastructure role.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Experience with the following technologies is required:
- Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Networking, and VPNs.
- Remote Desktop Services, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Defender.
Experience with firewalls, switches, servers, storage, virtualisation, and Microsoft certifications (AZ-900/AZ-104) would be advantageous. Knowledge of mobile devices and Mac, iOS, Android, or Linux environments would also be beneficial.
Benefits & conditions
£35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience) Full time: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week) ASAP Start, * Competitive salary based on experience.
