Job description
We’re looking for an experienced AI Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable and responsible AI solutions across enterprise and public-sector programmes.
You’ll combine hands-on technical expertise with architectural leadership, shaping solutions from discovery through to production. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll set technical direction, establish governance and ensure AI delivers measurable business value., * Design end-to-end architectures across Generative AI, AI agents and traditional machine learning.
- Define reusable AI patterns, reference architectures and standards within the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Embed security, governance and Responsible AI into solution design.
- Provide architectural oversight across delivery teams.
- Support discovery and pre-sales, including solution approaches, estimates and roadmaps.
- Advise stakeholders on feasibility, trade-offs, risks, costs and sustainability.
- Build prototypes, reference implementations and reusable accelerators.
- Mentor junior AI engineers and consultants.
Requirements
- Enterprise AI and data experience, including at least five years of hands-on AI delivery.
- Proven delivery of production-grade AI solutions from discovery through to live operations.
- Strong Microsoft cloud and AI expertise, including Microsoft Foundry, Power Platform and Copilot Studio.
- Knowledge of Entra ID, RBAC, network isolation and data protection.
- Experience designing RAG, prompt-engineering and agent-based solutions using frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain or Microsoft Agent Framework.
- Strong classical machine-learning expertise, including feature engineering, training, evaluation and lifecycle management.
- Ability to select and clearly justify classical ML or Generative AI approaches for different use cases.
- Experience with cloud-native, API-based and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of DevOps, MLOps and LLMOps, including CI/CD, testing, observability, evaluation and cost management.
- Strong understanding of Responsible AI, governance, safety and regulatory requirements.
- Consulting experience with strong stakeholder communication and mentoring skills.
- Familiarity with Lakehouse architectures and data-engineering principles is desirable.
- At least two relevant Microsoft certifications or active progress towards them, such as AI-901, AI-103, DP-800, AZ-305 or AI-300.
You don’t need to meet every requirement. We’re particularly interested in candidates who combine strong architectural judgement with practical AI delivery experience.
