Job description
NFEC is seeking a collaborative, technically capable, servant-hearted Computer Mapping/IT Coordinator. In this role you will be the backbone of our technology operations. This includes coordinating with our IT Contractor for networks, servers, software/hardware, and all things IT related. This role is responsible for development and maintenance of all system maps. This will require the successful candidate to be energetic of learning Futura Mapping, ESRI, Survalent, TWACS, and more.
This isn’t just a behind the scenes IT role. Success here is built on relationships. You will work closely with our operations department, as well as coordinate all IT with our IT Contractor. You will work closely with people across the cooperative to understand their needs, solve their problems, and help them get more out of the technology we utilize each day.
What You’ll Work On:
Coordination With IT Contractor
- Infrastructure Management-Microsoft 365, on-site servers, network switches, firewalls, backups, offsite radios/servers.
- Cybersecurity Compliance-Monitor and enhance security practices, access controls, patch management, vulnerability mitigation.
- Application Support-Nisc and iVue
- User Support Training-Setup accounts and work stations, deliver end user training, track all IT tickets with IT contractor from start to finish.
Mapping
- Application Support-Futura Mapping and Staking, ESRI, Survalent, TWACS, and Dispatch
- System Maps-Develop and maintain all system maps. Provide troubleshooting and hazard recognition support to operations department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least three years of experience in IT System Administration
- At least 2+ years in technical support role, with a genuine commitment to service and building trust from users.
- Ability to become proficient in Mapping with Futura Platform.
- Ability to become proficient in NISC/iVue
- Ability to independently solve problems, research information, create solutions.
- Ability to work as part of the team.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the cooperative.
- Must have good troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Requires after-hour work in outage situations. These are overtime instances.
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions can be required from time to time.
