Job description

Performs duties to support and maintain server hardware with Windows Server technology in a 24/7 environment. Ensures the integrity of data, backups, and performs system recovery. Assess and identify appropriate solutions to improve current environment. Responds to performance and support needs from IT Help Desk or users/ agencies, * Assign user rights, creates, and maintains user profiles in Window-based environment. Works with support staff to configure devices including PC’s and printers.

  • Performs system maintenance, patching, and upgrades related to enterprise system applications and servers

  • Assists with network performance and network connectivity issues.

  • Assists with Windows based server hardware.

  • Works with telecommunications staff and contractors to insure proper connectivity and installation of wiring.

  • Maintains documentation related to network and wiring paths., The job has light physical demand (primarily sedentary) requiring the employee to exert negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects in the normal course of routine office activities.

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid Missouri driver’s license.

  • Willing to work after-hours, weekends and holidays as needed.

Education:

  • Associate degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, or Networking.

Experience:

  • Two year’s hands on experience in Microsoft Windows environment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and understanding of networking and internet protocols

  • Knowledge of printer servers and network printers

  • Knowledge Windows file and folder permissions

  • Knowledge of imagining and deploying Windows via Sysprep.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 email and security suite

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems

  • Must have great communication skills

  • Ability to work efficiently individually or in a team environment

Working Environment:

  • Normal office environment with attending outside functions when required.

  • Cell Phone, This position requires clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and the ability to bring objects into sharp focus, while reading from a computer screen.
