Job description
Overview: The IT Support Specialist provides day-to-day technical support for employees across the company and assists the IT Manager with system administration, hardware/software maintenance, user onboarding, and technology projects. This role is designed for someone who wants to grow: the right candidate will gradually take on more complex responsibilities with servers, networks, cloud systems, and our ERP/logistics applications., * Provide day-to-day technical support for employees, including hardware and connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1-2 support tickets; escalate more complex issues.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding tasks such as account setup, permissions, and hardware.
- Maintain and update IT equipment, including PCs, laptops, mobile devices, & other technology.
- Support system updates, security patches, and routine maintenance as directed.
- Help with network and server tasks at a basic level, learning more advanced responsibilities.
- Contribute to IT projects such as system upgrades and cybersecurity improvements.
- Participate in building IT documentation, SOPs, and long-term technology initiatives.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, This position is highly service-oriented and requires strong communication skills, follow-through, and the desire to learn., * 1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support (or strong internship/technical experience).
- Working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, basic networking concepts, and common IT hardware.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Ability to prioritize, troubleshoot independently, and follow through on tasks.
- Interest in long-term professional growth within the company.
Preferred
- Experience with logistics or dispatch platforms, especially SmartLogics (or similar systems).
- Experience supporting ERPs or business applications.
- Basic understanding of SQL (queries, troubleshooting data issues, or willingness to learn).
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Windows Server, Intune/MDM tools, or cloud administration.
- CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Security+) or desire to obtain them with company support.
