Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Business Analyst focused on Workday Integrations for a client in the construction industry. This role will support the requirements gathering, analysis, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and operational support of Workday integrations across the enterprise. The Senior Business Analyst will partner with HRIS, Payroll, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to understand integration needs, diagnose issues, explain root causes, document requirements, and coordinate solutions that support reliable data flow between Workday and connected systems. This is not a heads-down developer role; the right candidate must be comfortable engaging with stakeholders, asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, and helping bridge the gap between business needs and technical integration work. The ideal candidate has Workday integration experience, strong business analysis skills, SQL exposure, and familiarity with middleware or integration platforms.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Integration Analyst, HRIS Analyst, or related technology role
  • Hands-on experience supporting Workday integrations, interfaces, APIs, inbound/outbound data flows, or connected HR/HCM systems
  • Strong understanding of integration requirements gathering, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and support
  • Ability to partner with HRIS, Payroll, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to identify integration issues and drive resolution
  • SQL knowledge or exposure to data query concepts
  • Experience translating business needs into integration requirements and explaining technical issues in business terms
  • Ability to work in both operational support and project/enhancement environments - Experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, APIs, or related Workday integration tools
  • Middleware experience such as Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft, SnapLogic, Informatica, or similar tools
  • Experience supporting payroll, time & attendance, HRIS, HCM, benefits, finance, or workforce-related integrations
  • Experience with release testing, regression testing, UAT, data validation, and integration monitoring
  • Background in construction, manufacturing, industrial, or operationally complex environments
