Job description

The Manager, Strategic Partnerships will support the growth of a rapidly expanding data center development portfolio, helping advance commercial and development initiatives from early-stage evaluation through execution. Working within the Strategic Partnerships and M&A team, this person will collaborate across development, engineering, legal, finance, and power markets to support site selection, diligence, customer engagement, related activities

  • Shape data center projects from strategy through execution.
  • Remote role driving growth in energy & digital infrastructure., Data Center Strategy
  • Support execution of strategies to drive presence and opportunities in the growing data center market.
  • Monitor regulatory, policy, and commercial trends impacting data center load demand across multiple markets.
  • Track utility tariffs, rate structures, and load interconnection processes while working with utilities on co-location projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, consultants, and experts across origination, legal, interconnection, permitting, construction, government affairs, engineering, and finance.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, meetings, and site visits.

Data Center Development Support

  • Support advancement of data center development activities for existing energy and data center projects, as well as acquisition opportunities.
  • Manage large load application processes for projects across multiple U.S. markets.
  • Assist with site-level evaluation and diligence, including zoning, land use, environmental constraints, access, utilities, and infrastructure readiness.
  • Support land-related and due diligence activities, including reviewing purchase agreements, options, leases, easements, title, and survey in coordination with legal and real estate teams.
  • Partner with internal teams (energy development, power markets, engineering, interconnection, legal, finance, government affairs) to align development activities with transaction timelines and investment objectives.

Market & Portfolio Support

  • Help maintain an organized pipeline of data center opportunities under evaluation or advancement through Strategic Partnerships.
  • Contribute to the development of internal knowledge, templates, and best practices related to data center site development.
  • Support senior team members with market research related to data center development trends, siting requirements, and infrastructure considerations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in real estate development, infrastructure development, or large-scale industrial/commercial projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (real estate, engineering, planning, business, or related field preferred).
  • Working knowledge of the data center market, including client needs, site selection factors, energy procurement strategies, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting development activities such as site diligence, permitting, land use, or infrastructure coordination.
  • Experience working with cross-functional internal teams and external consultants.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% as needed across U.S. markets.
  • Ability to walk undeveloped land and active project sites.
  • Alignment with company values and culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with data center development (real estate, infrastructure, or power-related).
  • Experience supporting projects tied to M&A, joint ventures, or strategic partnerships.
  • Familiarity with power markets, utility coordination, or power-constrained site development.
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and permitting environments.
