Banner DBA/Banner Developer

The client is seeking a Senior Banner Developer with extensive, enterprise-level experience across the Ellucian Banner ERP platform. The ideal candidate should possess broad technical knowledge spanning multiple Banner modules rather than expertise limited to a single functional area. They should be capable of working independently, providing technical leadership, analyzing business requirements, and recommending scalable technical solutions. This role requires a proactive developer who can drive design and implementation efforts, collaborate with business stakeholders, and contribute to the overall architecture and enhancement of the Banner environment not someone focused solely on support or maintenance activities. Core Responsibilities: Work extensively within the Banner environment:

• Understand standard Banner processes and architecture
• Modify and customize baseline Banner functionality as needed
• Support ongoing Banner development initiatives

Ethos Initiatives:

• Assist with the organization’s transition toward increased use of Ellucian Ethos
• Support application migrations from Self-Service and legacy solutions into Ethos
• Help drive modernization efforts focused on integration and user experience

Custom Development:

• Develop and maintain custom applications that pull data from Banner
• Utilize:
• PL/SQL
• Grails
• Banner development tools and technologies

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Partner directly with functional clients and business teams
• Gather requirements and shape technical solutions
• Provide guidance and recommendations while balancing user requests with technical best practices

• Banner Core
• Banner Admin
• Pro*C (critical requirement)
• Transcript-related processing experience is highly desirable
• Ellucian Ethos (plus)
• PL/SQL
• Grails

Technical Expertise Desired:

• Experience building and supporting custom applications that integrate with Banner
• Strong understanding of Banner business processes and customization methodologies
• Ability to work across multiple Banner modules and functional areas
