Desktop Technician

Insight Global is looking for a Desktop Technician to work for one of our client’s in the Kansas City area. This person will be responsible for imaging laptops and troubleshoot to resolve any desktop issues. In this role, you will be responsible for working hands on with Windows 11 operating systems so having previous experience with disabling administrative functions, changing power settings, and leading domain help is a must. This role will require occasional travel to a work site in St. Joseph, MO due to an expansion of the company. You will be expected to travel to this location roughly once a month and help get new hires equipment onboarded and working. This role will be fully onsite for the first month then switch to a hybrid work schedule. The ideal candidate for this position has strong prior background in desktop engineering along with knowing all the ins and outs of Window’s 11.

• 4+ years of experience as a desktop technician or similar
• Strong experience with Windows 11 operating systems
• Experience with virtual desktop environments
• Hands on laptop imaging experience
• Strong Active Directory
• Knowledge of how to script with PowerShell
