Job description

Security is racing to keep pace with AI, and this business is building the intelligence layer that lets it catch up. As a Software Engineer on the Backend team, you will help design and build the systems that turn raw cloud signal into real-time action, correlating runtime data, posture and identity into a single live map of risk. It is early enough in the company’s journey that your decisions on architecture, data models and scalability will genuinely shape the product, not just implement someone else’s., * Take ownership of the full lifecycle of your projects, from initial design through to production monitoring and maintenance

  • Shape technical and architectural decisions as the platform scales
  • Run design and code reviews that raise the bar for the whole team
  • Improve the efficiency, scalability and stability of backend components handling real-time security data
  • Work closely with Frontend and DevOps to deliver features customers rely on to catch real threats

Requirements

  • 6+ years’ experience in backend engineering using a high-level language such as Go, Java, C#, Python or Node.js
  • Experience with cloud platforms and products (AWS, GCP or Azure)
  • Experience implementing data-intensive systems (databases, event systems, messaging systems)
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)
  • Experience with microservices-based architecture
  • BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field

Desirable / Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, Neo4j, ElasticSearch, Redis, TimescaleDB or RabbitMQ
  • A genuine interest in cloud security and how attackers think

Benefits & conditions

  • Build the backend powering real-time detection and response for the AI security era
  • Hybrid working, globally distributed team
  • $250M investment
  • Competitive salary plus stock options
  • Cutting-edge stack: Kubernetes, Docker, Neo4j, ElasticSearch, Redis, TimescaleDB, RabbitMQ, * Stock options for every new hire
  • Flexible, hybrid working with a genuinely global team
  • Learn directly from a seasoned engineering leadership team
  • Join a company already recognised by Fortune, Forbes, Fast Company and CRN
  • Real autonomy and ownership from day one, this is still early enough to shape how things are built

About the company

Our client is a runtime-powered Cloud & AI security platform trusted by hundreds of enterprises worldwide, including several household-name retail, media and travel brands. Founded in America 5 years ago, the business raised $80 million in its first twelve months alone. Named Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2026 and CRN’s AI 100, while holding a 4.9 out of 5 rating on Gartner Peer Insights. This is still a young company on a very steep growth curve, and there is real room to make your mark.
