Job description

A leading specialty insurance group is looking for an AI Strategy and Adoption Manager to support a major transformation programme across the business on a 2 year FTC.

This will be focusing on applied AI, workflow automation, business adoption, governance and measurable value.

The successful candidate will work closely with business, technology, data, risk and compliance stakeholders to identify practical AI and automation opportunities, assess feasibility, support business case development and help scale solutions responsibly.

The role will sit close to an established AI enablement function and will be central to helping the UK business translate enterprise AI strategy into practical use cases, adoption plans and measurable business outcomes., * Identify and prioritise AI and workflow automation use cases across business functions

  • Partner with business and technical teams to assess value, feasibility, risk and readiness
  • Support vendor and solution evaluation, including applied AI, GenAI and workflow automation tools
  • Help develop business cases, adoption plans, success metrics and feedback loops
  • Support responsible AI governance, including risk, privacy, security and compliance considerations
  • Translate technical AI concepts into clear business language for senior stakeholders
  • Support AI literacy, adoption and change activity across the organisation
  • Track progress, outcomes and adoption across AI and automation initiatives
  • Suitable candidates will bring

Requirements

  • Experience in AI strategy, AI adoption, digital innovation, workflow automation or technology transformation
  • A strong understanding of applied AI, GenAI, automation and how these tools can be used in a business context
  • Experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders in a regulated or complex enterprise environment
  • Strong vendor evaluation, proof of concept or proof of value experience
  • Ability to assess business value, implementation risk, data readiness and adoption challenges
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to turn technical topics into clear business narratives
  • Exposure to financial services, insurance or another regulated sector would be beneficial

Useful experience could include Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Azure AI, Databricks, Power Automate, Workato, AI governance, data strategy, operating model design or enterprise adoption programmes.
