Database Administrator

Experteer Overview As a Database Administrator, you will ensure the availability, performance, and security of Oracle databases on AWS RDS.You will blend Oracle DBA expertise with cloud, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices to support cloud modernization and regulated operations.You’ll work with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity, disaster recovery, and secure access.This role offers the chance to influence mission-critical platforms in a dynamic, tech-forward environment.Compensaciones / Beneficios - Administer and monitor Oracle databases on AWS RDS to ensure high availability and data integrity - Handle provisioning, patching, backups, restores, and disaster recovery in the AWS environment - Manage connectivity, VPCs, subnets, and security groups to control database access - Provision and maintain infrastructure with Terraform following IaC best practices - Tune performance, diagnose issues, and optimize queries and instances - Enforce database security, including encryption, IAM, and audit logging - Document database architecture, configurations, standards, and procedures - Support production incidents and participate in the relevant support model - Collaborate with development, security, cloud, and infrastructure teams; coordinate with Kubernetes-focused pipelines - Partner with DevOps/platform teams to enable database connectivity for Kubernetes-based appsResponsabilidades - Bachelor in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience - Proven Oracle DBA experience with administration, tuning, backups, restore, and recovery - Hands-on experience with Oracle databases on AWS RDS - Knowledge of AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups) - Practical Terraform experience for infrastructure provisioning - Working knowledge of Kubernetes connectivity between applications and databases - Strong understanding of database security (encryption, IAM, least privilege, audit logging) - Experience in regulated environments, preferably financial services or insurance - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skillsRequisitos principales - hybrid work model - financial aid for home workspace - flexible working hours - life insurance and pension plan - objective bonus potential - wellbeing and wellness program
