Job description
Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the ongoing design and development of engine cylinder heads for Stellantis vehicles, aligning with powertrain requirements. You will drive concept refinement and validate designs through CAE and testing, coordinating with cross-functional teams to integrate heads into the powertrain. You manage release activities across early concepts to production, including PPAP readiness and BOM/ECN ownership. This role offers hands-on technical leadership across design, validation, and production stages with direct impact on performance and quality. You will work in a fast-paced environment that values robust engineering, cross-team collaboration, and data-driven decision-makin Compensation / Benefits * Lead continued design and development of engine cylinder heads to satisfy vehicle and powertrain requirements * Develop concepts for new applications based on functional, safety, and performance requirements * Support CAD modeling, FEA, and validation activities to meet functional specs * Collaborate with electrical, thermal, and packaging teams to integrate cylinder heads into the powertrain * Manage design release activities from concept to production and coordinate milestones (B-Sample through X3) * Own BOM and Engineering Change Notices for engine cylinder heads * Drive PPAP compliance and coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams * Provide technical leadership to resolve design, material, and process issues * Lead DFMEA and risk assessments; develop testing strategies for validation * Develop and maintain design specifications, drawings, test plans, and validation reports Tasks * Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school * 3+ years of experience with engine structural components; cylinder heads preferred * Knowledge of engine structural components and manufacturing processes (aluminum sand casting, machining, welding, gaging) * Strong GD&T understanding; ability to interpret CAE results without performing analysis * Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R; ability to author system/component requirements * Material selection and manufacturing method experience for engine components * Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills * Familiarity with 3D CAD programs; Siemens NX preferred Key requirements *
