Job description

Experteer Overview As Staff Security Engineer you will architect and build scalable security platforms for Aurora’s enterprise, embedding protection across endpoints, identities, and internal infrastructure. You will own security telemetry, detection pipelines, and cross-team integrations to enable proactive risk management. This role emphasizes design, automation, and engineering leadership over operations, enabling secure innovation at scale. You join a mission-driven team delivering safer, more efficient mobility and logistics. Compensation / Benefits * Own the architecture and implementation of enterprise security controls across endpoints, identities, and internal SaaS environments. * Design/build security telemetry and detection infrastructure, including log pipelines, SIEM integrations, and alerting frameworks. * Define and enforce security standards with architecture/design reviews in alignment with risk tolerance. * Partner with IT, Infrastructure, and Engineering to embed security early in initiatives (shift-left). * Develop automation and tooling that extend security platforms and reduce manual toil. * Serve as escalation point for security incidents requiring engineering remediation; participate in on-call rotation. * Translate security strategy into concrete engineering projects with milestones and measurable outcomes. Tasks * 12+ years in enterprise security engineering or corporate information security (excluding product/security engineering). * Proficiency in at least one programming language used for automation or tooling (Go preferred; Python common). * Experience architecting/integrating enterprise security platforms (EDR/XDR, MDM, IAM/IGA, DLP, SaaS security, cloud security, PKI). * Experience designing/building security telemetry pipelines and detection infra (log ingestion, SIEM, alerting). * Experience leading cross-functional security engineering projects with stakeholder alignment. * Track record of security architecture reviews and risk-prioritized remediation.
