Senior Data Engineer - Cloud Data Platform

Experteer Overview In this Senior Data Engineer role, you will shape scalable data pipelines and cloud-based architectures to enable business intelligence and strategic decision-making. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders and architects to translate objectives into robust data solutions, while leading proof-of-concept efforts and introducing new tools. You’ll ensure the stability, performance, and governance of the enterprise data ecosystem, mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement. This position offers hands-on technical leadership in a collaborative, on-site environment with a focus on transforming data into a strategic asset. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, and deliver modern data pipelines and cloud-based data architectures for batch, near real-time, and real-time processing * Partner with business stakeholders to translate objectives into technical solutions and collaborate with architects on patterns that meet functional and non-functional requirements * Evaluate new tools, lead proof-of-concept efforts, and improve the enterprise data ecosystem * Ensure stability, scalability, and performance of data platforms; address delivery risks and maintain momentum * Contribute to planning, estimation, and prioritization of technical initiatives; establish standards, governance, and best practices * Drive data modeling, ETL development, performance tuning, and system optimization in alignment with enterprise architecture * Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentor team members, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration * Impact the organization’s ability to leverage data as a strategic asset to improve decision-making and operational outcomes Tasks * 10+ years of experience in ETL development, database engineering, and data platform support * 8+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter * 3+ years of experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) / IDMC * 3+ years of experience with Control-M or similar workload automation tools * 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCS, BigQuery) * Strong expertise in SQL, relational databases, and data modeling concepts * Experience with Python, Perl, or other scripting languages for data processing and automation * Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud-based architectures for batch and real-time processing * Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira * Familiarity with source control, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Concourse) * Strong analytical and communicational skills for cross-functional collaboration Key requirements * bonus or incentive opportunities
