Data Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Data Engineer at Schwab Technology Services, you design, build, and deliver enterprise data assets and BI solutions that empower leaders to make informed decisions. You’ll collaborate across business units to translate requirements into scalable data pipelines, ensuring quality and alignment with architecture standards. You’ll drive timely delivery with both onshore and offshore teams while mentoring junior engineers. Compensation / Benefits * Create and maintain enterprise data assets, reporting, and analytics to support decision making, regulatory reporting, and process improvement * Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions * Plan and manage technical activities including estimation, scheduling, prioritization, and coordination * Design ETL processes, manage data, and perform data analysis * Develop data models, performance tuning, and load plans while ensuring functional and non-functional requirements * Provide guidance and technical oversight to junior engineers and contractors * Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure timely delivery of data solutions * Ensure alignment with architecture policies and best practices and follow development methodologies * Identify opportunities for system reuse and simplification Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology * 8+ years in ETL and database development and maintenance * Deep understanding of Data Warehousing and Data Modeling * 3+ years hands-on with Informatica IDMC/IICS * 2+ years hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (GCS, BigQuery, Dataproc) * 1+ year experience with Control-M * Strong SQL * Scripting in Shell, Python, PERL * Familiar with Agile development * Familiar with SCM/CI/CD tools (Git, Bamboo) * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Key requirements * bonus or incentive opportunities
