Data Analyst/Cyber Risk

Experteer Overview In this role, you support DoD Cyber Defense Command’s risk management and operational analysis efforts to safeguard cyberspace, including missions, systems, networks, and cloud environments. You will work with cross-functional groups to identify cyber terrain risks, develop mitigation options, and document analyses for decision makers. The position involves leading risk assessments, coordinating working groups, and delivering assessment reports with stakeholder collaboration. A meaningful opportunity to influence DoD cyber defense posture and fight operational risk at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Identify cyber terrain and activities impacting DoD missions and propose requirements for improvements * Provide risk analyses and mitigation options to inform decisions * Coordinate and support Cyber Operational Analysis Working Group and Mission Assurance meetings * Support additional operations research and mathematical tasks as needed * Lead operational risk assessments by DAO, sector, and terrain * Engage with AOs, sector leaders, and stakeholders to define cyber risk parameters * Document analysis factors, risk criteria, and risk categories * Incorporate war-gaming results into risk analyses with DoD input * Capture collaboration outcomes in monthly assessment reports * Manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and deliver timely guidance to stakeholders * Track task submissions via the Task Management Tool (TMT) and respond to the shared mailbox Tasks * 8+ years with BS/BA; 6+ years with MS/MA; 3+ years with PhD; or 10+ years with Associate; 12+ years with HS * Cloud-based data warehousing experience using Big Data Platform (BDP) * Experience writing data parsers for the BDP * Experience with Kafka and Apache NiFi * Cloud-native data storage and data warehousing methods * SQL and NoSQL data storage knowledge * Deep understanding of Defensive Cyberspace Operations * Strong stakeholder communication across formats * Ability to work independently and on a team, with occasional shift work * U.S. Citizenship and active Top Secret/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI Key requirements * salary range: 135,000-216,000 * OT eligibility * shift differential * discretionary bonus * top-secret clearance support * benefits package typical for government contractors
