Job description

Experteer Overview In this hybrid role you will maintain and support the enterprise network and end-user computing environment. You will work across the stack, from configuring Cisco switches to imaging endpoints and troubleshooting Windows 10/11, while delivering professional end-user support. The position blends infrastructure tasks with day-to-day operational support and requires independence with escalation for complex issues. You will contribute to secure, compliant IT operations within a national security context and have the opportunity to impact network reliability and user experience. Compensation / Benefits * Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco switches (IOS-XE and NX-OS) * Implement and manage port security including MAC-based controls * Support network fundamentals (TCP/IP, subnetting, DHCP/DNS, L2/L3) * Support and maintain VDI / thin-client infrastructure and endpoint provisioning * Perform endpoint imaging and deployment via PXE-based tooling * Administer Windows 10/11 endpoints (config, troubleshooting, lifecycle) * Execute patch management and vulnerability remediation (IAVA) * Use CLI and admin tooling (PuTTY, PowerShell, Windows CMD) for configuration and automation * Perform Active Directory tasks (accounts, groups, OU, Group Policy awareness) * Document configurations and changes following standards * Provide high-quality end-user support and ticket handling * Coordinate across teams on cross-functional dependencies Tasks * Bachelor degree in a technical discipline and 10 years of system administration experience; 5 years may substitute for a BS * Active TS/SCI w/Poly * 3-5 years mid-level network administration with Cisco IOS-XE/NX-OS experience * Strong networking fundamentals (VLANs, subnetting, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) * Understanding of port security concepts and remediation * 5+ years VDI / thin-client platform administration * 5+ years Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting * PXE-based imaging/deployment experience * Proficiency with PuTTY, PowerShell, and Windows CMD * Active Directory administration experience * Patch management and vulnerability remediation (IAVA) * Experience with SCCM/MECM, BigFix; familiarity with STIGs * Customer service orientation and clear communication * Experience with JIRA or ITSM ticketing systems * Basic firewall awareness (Cisco Firepower/ASA) and remote management tools * Understanding of structured cabling and physical connectivity * Basic scripting/automation for repetitive tasks Key requirements * heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage * 25 days of PTO * eligible for discretionary bonus
