Senior Specialist - Data Engineering

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the design, development and migration of DataStage jobs to Cloud Pak for Data. You will architect scalable data pipelines and oversee end-to-end ETL delivery, from design to deployment and support. You will provide technical leadership to onshore/offshore teams, enforce best practices, and ensure performance and reliability in production environments. You will collaborate with business architecture and platform teams and support cloud migration and modernization efforts, leveraging OpenShift/Kubernetes where applicable. Compensation / Benefits * Lead design, development and migration of DataStage jobs to Cloud Pak for Data * Architect and build scalable, high-performance data pipelines * Manage end-to-end ETL delivery (design, development, testing, deployment, support) * Provide technical leadership to onshore/offshore teams and enforce best practices * Tune performance for parallel jobs, orchestration and general ETL workloads * Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system stability * Collaborate with business architecture and platform teams for solution delivery * Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives * Exposure to OpenShift/Kubernetes environments (preferred) Tasks * Extensive ETL/Data Integration experience with IBM DataStage and Cloud Pak for Data CP4D * Strong hands-on experience with parallel jobs, job orchestration and performance tuning * Proficiency in SQL and RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, etc.) * Unix/Linux scripting and job automation experience * Experience leading technical teams (onshore/offshore) and stakeholder management * Experience with cloud migration and modernization initiatives * BFSI domain experience is a plus * Strong communication and leadership skills Key requirements *
