Job description

This is an IT Desktop Support position that primarily provides hardware and software support to multiple end-users within the DCF, which includes desktop, infrastructure and security. This is work installing, configuring, and supporting an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet system or a segment of a network system. Incumbents maintain network hardware and software, monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Incumbents may also assist other network support and client server specialists to plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.

Within DCF, the Economic Self-Sufficiency (ESS) Program helps to promote strong and economically self-sufficient communities by determining eligibility for food, cash and medical assistance for individuals and families on the road to economic recovery.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in computer hardware, software and networking systems, and troubleshooting/problem solving.

  • At least one year of e xperience supporting Windows 11 or newer operating system and compatible applications.

  • Experience in an IT Support Environment.

  • Ability to navigate tight spaces which may involve a combination of kneeling, crawling, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and/or reaching.

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds to conduct work assignments.

  • Valid Driver License

  • Possession and willingness to operate private vehicle for use in performance of daily work activities.

  • Working outside normal business hours to complete daily work activities.

Preference given to candidates with experience in:

  • CompTIAA+, CompTIANetwork, CompTIASecurity.

  • Experience working in an Information Technology (IT) environment in either a field-based support capacity or a call center capacity.

  • Experience with email systems.

  • Experience working with ticketing system applications.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.

  • College or trade school education in IT field from an accredited college or university, or 30 semester credit hours to substitute for year-for-year work experience. School diploma or official transcript documents are required.

This is a Career Service type of position.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.

Salary: $38,264.07 minimum. The DCF Salary Policy will apply.

This is not a telework position. The selected candidate must work in the office.

The contact center serves the public from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday - Friday.

Evening or weekend hours may be required depending on volume.
