Job description

CHEVO is hiring an experienced Agile Systems Analyst to join our expanding firm. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business and to become a trusted advisor. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of analysis, design, and re-engineering of system applications and business processes using different SDLC methodologies such as Agile, Modified Waterfall and Iterative approaches and demonstrated experience in migrating clients to Agile methodology practices. Knowledge and experience in developing quality work products such as a playbook and road map is desired.This position functions as part of a team yet requires the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Agile principles and how to apply them. Prior federal government employment or consulting experience is required. This position is located in Washington, DC and is Metro accessible. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for transitioning a federal agency and project teams to an Agile framework.
  • Support the development and enhancement of an Agile Playbook.
  • Provide group facilitation, interviewing, Agile training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer.
  • Apply process improvement and reengineering methodologies to develop and implement an Agile framework.
  • Provide Agile coaching, identification of best practices, and support to projects in transitioning to an Agile framework.
  • May provide leadership to other contractor business reengineering specialists.

Requirements

  • 8 years’ professional experience
  • Prior federal government employment or consulting experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple task simultaneously
  • 5 years’ experience in systems analysis or information systems
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Agile methodologies
  • Bachelor’s degree DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification in an industry-recognized Agile methodology
  • Hands-on experience providing Agile project support on federal IT projects
  • Demonstrated experience with IT business processes and SDLCs
  • Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with senior federal executives
