Director, Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you lead the integration of GenAI and LLMs into enterprise applications, building scalable pipelines and secure interfaces. You’ll work with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver production-grade AI solutions, while advancing observability and compliance. The position blends hands-on engineering with cross-functional collaboration to enable AI-powered capabilities across the firm. You’ll drive rapid PoCs to production and shape GenAI strategy within a global financial services context. Compensation / Benefits * Integrate LLMs into existing applications to enhance user experience and design end-to-end GenAI pipelines * Develop APIs and middleware for seamless LLM interaction with enterprise systems * Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions * Monitor, analyze, and fine-tune LLM performance using metrics and user feedback * Implement security and data privacy practices for LLM usage * Stay updated on AI/NLP/ML advances to improve integration strategies * Design GenAI agents capable of reasoning and executing actions across internal APIs and tools * Create structured prompts, templates, and reusable prompt-engineering frameworks * Build and maintain tool registries for GenAI agents to securely access data sources * Implement observability, tracing, and structured logging for GenAI workloads * Develop rapid PoCs to validate ideas and scale successful prototypes * Participate in Agile ceremonies and conduct code/design/prompts reviews Tasks * Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field * 5 years of experience in roles such as Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer, or AI Engineer * 5 years of experience with Python, Java, JavaScript; RESTful and GraphQL APIs; Node.js and Nest.js; Angular and React; DevOps, CI/CD with Jenkins, Bamboo, Docker; JIRA/Confluence/Bitbucket/SVN/SourceTree * 2 years of experience with AWS Lambda, AWS Gateway API, AWS SDK, AWS CDK; LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face); prompt-engineering frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel); model fine-tuning and embeddings; secure tool registries; observability tools (TruLens, W&B); OAuth2, SAML; Kubernetes Helm; Terraform; Prometheus, Grafana; AI safety and compliance practices Key requirements * telecommuting up to 2 days per week * comprehensive employee benefits * opportunity for cross-business mobility * inclusive culture * career development opportunities
