Job description
We are adding a Junior Digital Project Coordinator to our team to help manage a new engagement with a London-based financial organization. This project involves cleaning up their internal reporting systems and moving data from legacy spreadsheets into a stable, centralized database. You will act as the link between our technical team and the client, ensuring that tasks are tracked accurately and that the documentation we provide is clear and useful. This is a fully remote position that focuses on the practical side of project management rather than empty meetings or flashy presentations. About Pixel Systems Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency. We do not build flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical tools that teams actually use every day. Our work usually involves admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that most people try to avoid. Clients come to us when they need to replace a messy spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to finally talk to one another. We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything when we are finished. That includes the code, the documentation, and even walkthrough videos. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We are a team that prefers solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends. The Role As a Junior Digital Project Coordinator, your day will revolve around keeping our projects moving forward. You will spend time organizing tasks in our project management tools and checking in with developers to see if they have any blockers. For our current project with the London-based financial client, you will help document how data moves from their old systems into the new Postgres database we are building. A big part of this role involves communication. You will participate in weekly demos, take clear notes, and help create the walkthrough videos we give to clients at the end of a project. You will also help maintain our internal documentation, ensuring that every piece of code we ship has a corresponding explanation that a non-technical person can understand. The work is remote, so you will need to be comfortable using chat tools and video calls to stay in sync with the rest of the team., Working here is different from working at a large corporation. We have very few management layers, which means you will work directly with the people building the software. We do not have long, aimless meetings or corporate bureaucracy. We focus on shipping work that helps real people, like warehouse managers or operations teams, do their jobs more efficiently. We value honesty and clarity. If a project is behind schedule, we say so. If a client request does not make sense, we explain why. We are a small team that supports one another, and we provide the space you need to learn the ropes of project coordination without the pressure of a high-drama environment. This role is fully remote, giving you the flexibility to work from wherever you are most productive. Our goal is to build software that lasts and to provide a working environment where people can focus on doing good work. We are looking for someone who shares that pragmatic outlook and is ready to help us deliver high-quality tools to our clients. We keep things simple, we work hard, and we make sure the systems we build actually work for the people who use them every day.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is organized and enjoys the process of checking things off a list. You do not need years of experience, but you do need to be someone who pays attention to the small things. This is a paid position, and we offer a salary that is competitive for the entry-level market.
- A high level of organization and the ability to track multiple small tasks at once.
- Clear written communication skills for writing documentation and client updates.
- Comfort using spreadsheets and task-tracking software.
- An interest in how software works, even if you are not a developer yourself.
- The ability to explain technical concepts in plain, simple English.
- A preference for logical, practical solutions over complicated ones.
- The self-discipline to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
Helpful background While this is an entry-level role, it helps if you have a basic understanding of the tools we use. You do not need to be an expert, but being familiar with these concepts will help you get up to speed faster:
- Basic knowledge of how APIs work and how they connect different systems.
- Familiarity with GitHub or other version control platforms.
- A general understanding of databases and how data is structured.
- Previous experience with remote collaboration tools like Slack or Zoom.
- An interest in financial systems or internal business operations.
