Job description

We are adding a Junior Digital Project Coordinator to help manage our latest engagement with a London-based partner. We are helping this partner move their complex spreadsheets into a structured database and building a custom interface for their internal teams to manage day to day data. This is a fully remote position for someone who wants to learn how software projects move from a client request to a finished, working product without the usual corporate overhead. About Pixel Systems Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency. We avoid flashy trends in favor of functional tools that help businesses run better. While other teams might focus on social media apps, we build the admin panels, CRM integrations, and database migrations that solve real operational problems. We are a team of senior developers and designers who prefer solving logic puzzles over chasing the latest industry buzzwords. We work as a remote team and provide our clients with fixed quotes and weekly demos. We do not like high-stress launches or vague timelines. We use reliable technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because they are stable and easy to maintain. Our goal is always to hand over clean code and clear documentation so our clients can actually use the tools we build for them. The Role In this role, you will be the link between our technical team and the client staff. Your main goal is to keep the project organized and moving forward. You will attend weekly demos for our London-based partner, take detailed notes on requested changes, and update our internal task lists. Since we are a small team, you will get to see exactly how we estimate work and handle changes in project scope. Typical daily tasks include helping document how a specific API integration works or verifying that a new data migration matches the original spreadsheet provided by the client. You help ensure that nothing falls through the cracks, such as ensuring a walkthrough video is recorded before we hand over a new feature. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will see the immediate result of your coordination work every week.

Requirements

You do not need years of professional experience, but you do need to be highly organized. We are looking for someone who enjoys lists, clear documentation, and getting the details right. You should be comfortable speaking with both developers and non-technical business owners about the status of a task. Other qualities we value include:

  • A high level of reliability in a remote work setting.
  • The ability to manage your own schedule and deadlines.
  • Comfort with unflashy work like checking data fields or updating documentation.
  • Clear, plain-spoken communication skills in writing and on calls.
  • A logical approach to solving problems and organizing information.
  • The ability to listen to technical discussions and summarize the main points.

Helpful Background You do not need to be a developer for this role, but being comfortable around technical terms will help you get up to speed faster. Some bits of background that might be useful include:

  • Experience using Excel or Google Sheets to organize information.
  • Basic knowledge of what an API is or how databases work.
  • History of using project tools like Trello, Notion, or GitHub to track tasks.
  • Previous experience in a role that required customer service or coordination.
  • Basic understanding of the web development process (even from personal projects).
  • A habit of taking clear, readable notes during meetings.

Working at Pixel Systems

Benefits & conditions

We are a remote-first company with no management layers. When you work here, you work directly with the people building the code. We offer competitive and attractive pay for the entry-level market because we want people who are serious about learning the craft of project management. You will see your work ship every single week during our client demos, and you will contribute to systems that solve real headaches for logistics managers or operations teams. There are no unnecessary meetings or corporate politics here: we just focus on shipping stable software that works. At Pixel Systems, we value the person who gets things done over the person who makes the most noise. We are looking for a teammate who is ready to learn how to keep projects on track in a no-drama environment. If you enjoy making sense of complex information and want to see how a professional remote agency operates from the inside, this role provides a direct view into every stage of the software development process.
