Job description

As Software Engineer, you will support the design, development, optimisation and deployment of electrical, control, instrumentation and automation (EICA) systems across a global product portfolio. Working closely with the wider engineering team, you will play a key role in delivering reliable, compliant and efficient control systems while contributing to continuous improvement and innovation., * Producing electrical designs and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.

Developing and optimising industrial PLC/SCADA control systems, including programming, software integration and troubleshooting.
Supporting HMI and SCADA development and modifications.
Assisting with testing, commissioning and fault-finding activities.
Ensuring all designs comply with relevant British and European standards.
Supporting industrial communication network integration including Ethernet and CC-Link systems.
Producing and maintaining technical documentation and engineering records.
Working collaboratively with mechanical, process and systems engineering teams and wider stakeholders.
Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across the business.

Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in electrical and PLC software design roles, with strong knowledge of industrial automation and control system design principles.
Strong proficiency in CAD software for electrical design.
Desirable: experience with combustion or thermal processing systems, familiarity with ERP systems, and knowledge of relevant standards (EN 60204, ISO 12100, EN746-2).
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Self-motivated with strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.

My client is offering a salary of up to 55,000.

37.5-hour work week with 1 day of remote work
