Requirements
- Attitude: honest and constructive. You have the real conversations, and you’ll challenge something that doesn’t make sense, kindly, with an alternative in hand.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer, designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable data platforms and pipelines in production environments.
- Azure data engineering: hands-on across the Azure stack, including SQL Server and Databricks. You build platforms, not just wire them together.
- Data modelling: Kimball dimensional modelling is second nature.
- Impact over output: you think about what the work changes, not just the code you ship.
- Communication: you can take something genuinely complex and make it land, for a teammate or a non-technical client, without needing someone else to translate for you.
- Track record: at least one role you stayed in long enough to deliver something real, and recent proof you keep learning, a new tool, a cert, an idea you ran with.
- Nice to have: a real IT education and solid software-engineering foundations, functional and object-oriented programming. Data Vault, logistics or industrial data experience, and Dutch are pluses too.
Benefits & conditions
Maybe you call yourself a Senior Data Engineer or an Azure wrangler, a Databricks whisperer, a senior “works-on-my-cluster” engineer… or maybe you just call yourself Sam. Whatever you call yourself, you’ll join our Delivery team and build the data platforms our clients actually run on, the pipelines and models behind the moment a client leans forward and says “wait, show me that again.” What you get
- A salary between €3,900-€5,000/gross monthly, based on the role, your experience, and your local market.
- €5,000 a year for your own growth, with a real say in how you spend it.
- 25 vacation days + the option to buy up to 10 more + local public holidays + the option of a sabbatical up to 4 months.
- Two trips abroad a year with the whole team + occasional drinks and team outings.
- €500 home-office budget and a great laptop.
- A well-earned “Hey, well done Buddy!”, so now and then.
- Fully remote, from anywhere in Europe, ideally within a couple of hours of CET, so the team overlaps.
About the company
All Your BI is a remote-first data agency based in Rotterdam. Since 2019 we’ve grown from a boutique consultancy into an international data team of more than 60 data heroes spread across Europe. We deliver managed BI services for logistics and industrial companies, helping reduce data waste and move businesses forward. We live for the WOW moment, that sparkle in users’ eyes when they gain new insights and discover opportunities. We work according to Holacracy: little hierarchy, lots of ownership. Serious work. Serious fun. What the job looks like
- Build and own the Azure data platforms our client accounts run on, SQL Server, Databricks, pipelines end to end.
- Design the data models that keep it all maintainable, and Kimball dimensional modelling, where it earns its place.
- Challenge a requirement when it doesn’t add up, and bring a better option. We’d rather you push back than build the wrong thing well.
- Take a genuinely messy, complex data problem and turn it into something the client, and the team, can actually follow.
- Reason about what the work changes for the client, not just the ticket in front of you.
