Sr Principal Systems Engineer

Experteer Overview As Principal Systems Engineer, you will advance a command and control, battle management, and communications program within the Missile Defense System. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to integrate lab test suites, support system testing, and automate configurations and analyses at scale. You’ll address issues in development and prototyping, shaping robust, secure capabilities for global operations. This role combines hands-on engineering with strategic impact in a defense-focused environment, offering exposure to cutting-edge automation and testing in a mission-critical domain. Compensation / Benefits * Integrate JEMINI Lab test suites into the development lab * Assist software development personnel with issue investigation and resolution * Develop configurations to support system testing and prototyping * Create and modify scripts for analyzing message data * Troubleshoot test and prototype issues and develop workaround documentation * Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, test, and network documents * Automate scripts to configure and maintain remote hosts Tasks * Bachelor in STEM with 8 years of experience or Master with 6 years or PhD with 4 years * Current active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher * Current active DoD-issued Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret and SCI * Willingness to travel 10% * Proficiency in Linux and scripting (Bash, Python) * Understanding of automation and implementation * Experience with integration testing and virtualized environments Key requirements * Medical, dental & vision * 401(k) plan * Life Insurance * Short and long-term disability * HSA * Time Off/PTO
