Job description

Join a critical digital modernization initiative as a Network Engineer II, specializing in storage systems within an IPv6-enabled network environment. You will ensure the reliability, security, and optimal performance of advanced storage infrastructure supporting high-impact government programs. This role offers opportunities to work with next-generation technologies, contribute to mission-driven solutions, and develop your expertise in both storage management and IPv6 networking. Responsibilities

  • Configure, manage, and maintain enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, Direct Attached Storage)
  • Monitor storage capacity, system health, and performance metrics to ensure high availability
  • Execute regular data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve storage and network issues, ensuring data integrity and security
  • Implement and maintain IPv6 configurations for storage technologies
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and schedules
  • Provide guidance and training to team members as needed

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in storage solutions engineering, including administration of SAN and NAS environments

  • Proficiency in storage management, performance monitoring, and capacity planning
  • Strong background in performing regular data backup and disaster recovery procedures
  • Working knowledge of IPv6 configuration and integration within storage environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • U.S. citizenship or green card holder with at least 3 years’ residency in the United States Preferred Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of IPv6 networking, addressing, routing, and troubleshooting
  • Experience designing and optimizing network architectures for government or enterprise environments, Access to cutting-edge technology and high-impact government projects
