Job description
- Design, develop and maintain Microsoft Power Suite solutions
- Craft and execute queries upon request for data
- Present information through reports and visualization
- Design, build and deploy Power Apps and BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
- Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. MicroStrategy)
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
- Evaluate and improve existing Power Apps and BI systems
- Collaborating with QCIO Workflow Integration team to integrate systems
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
- Develop and update technical documentation
Requirements
Software Engineer, Senior -Extensive experience and knowledge in designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting software in a variety of programming languages. Knowledge of the latest programming languages and techniques. Extensive experience in creating strategies for developing IT systems and applications. Experience in evaluating alternative approaches and selecting optimal approaches., * Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field
- Proven experience (5 years) as a Power Apps, Power and SharePoint Online developer.
- Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred/Desired:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (CRM)
- Jira experience
- 508-compliance experience

9th Way Insignia is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop Microsoft Power Suite (primarily Power Apps, Power BI and SharePoint Online) applications for the Veterans Administration Compliance, Risk and Remediation Quality Continuous Improvement Office (QCIO). 9th Way Insignia, in collaboration with the QCIO Workflow Integration team, develops business applications and tools in approximately six weeks from customer request to deployment.
