Senior Network Engineer

Experteer Overview In this Senior Network Engineer role, you will design and optimize scalable, high-availability networks across Azure, AWS, and on-premises, guiding multi-cloud architectures and security. You’ll act as a SME, mentor teammates, and collaborate with security, architecture, and operations to uplift network reliability and performance. You will drive automation, cost optimization, and cloud adoption initiatives while ensuring compliance and resilience. This is a hands-on, strategic role within the Corporate Networking team that shapes how the company connects cloud and physical environments. Compensation / Benefits * Design and implement scalable network architectures across public cloud platforms (Azure and AWS) and on-premises data centers, campuses, and branches * Strengthen security posture in multi-cloud environments via segmentation, encryption, and policy enforcement * Collaborate with security operations and architecture teams to remediate network security gaps * Mentor and support team members to promote knowledge sharing and growth * Monitor and manage multi-cloud networking environments; lead incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution * Lead enterprise networking efforts for routing/peering, SD-WAN, firewalls, load balancers, switches, and related infrastructure * Evaluate and integrate cloud-native networking solutions such as service meshes and private links * Support Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) initiatives to promote cloud adoption and organizational alignment * Develop comprehensive documentation for cloud networking services, migrations, and M&A * Implement networking best practices to optimize cloud platforms, achieve cost savings, and improve operational efficiency * Maintain SOX and PCI compliance with evidence creation and audit readiness * Drive IaC/CaC automation to reduce manual workloads and improve scalability * Lead tech debt reduction and optimize existing infrastructure * Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support * Design, deploy, and maintain physical network infrastructure (switches, routers, wireless, cabling) across offices and data centers * Collaborate with facilities and IT teams on office build-outs, expansions, and hardware refreshes Tasks * 5-7 years of network engineering experience across cloud and physical infrastructure * Proven ability to design and implement secure, scalable, high-performance networks * Hands-on IaC experience (Terraform or CloudFormation) * Experience with SD-WAN, cloud firewalls, WAF, and load balancers * Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, VPN, and network monitoring tools * Familiarity with Zero Trust, NIST, CIS benchmarks * Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Proven mentoring experience and collaborative mindset * Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills * Customer-focused mindset and adaptability to fast-paced environments * Hands-on experience with enterprise networking platforms Key requirements * hybrid workplace flexibility * PTO and holidays * 401(k) match * healthcare benefits * EAP and onsite clinic * tuition reimbursement
