Lead Network Engineer, Cloud

Experteer Overview In this role you guide cloud networking across the enterprise as part of the Cloud Center of Excellence. You translate high-level architecture into concrete network requirements and ensure designs are secure and standards-aligned. You collaborate with architecture, cloud engineering, and operations to shape practical implementations and resolve complex networking issues. You will be a technical expert shaping how cloud network designs are applied in practice, with a focus on reliability and cost-aware collaboration. Compensation / Benefits * Translate architecture into detailed cloud network implementation requirements (VNet/VPC design, subnetting, routing, segmentation, traffic flow) * Bridge Architecture and Cloud Engineering teams to align design intent with implementation * Provide guidance on private connectivity patterns (Private Endpoints, Private Link, VPC endpoints) and assist implementation as appropriate * Support hybrid connectivity design between cloud and on-prem environments, including routing and DNS considerations * Lead troubleshooting of complex cloud network issues (connectivity, DNS, latency, asymmetric routing) * Collaborate with Service Operations for root cause analysis and reliability improvement * Contribute to cloud networking standards, patterns, and implementation guidelines * Identify opportunities to improve consistency, performance, and supportability of cloud networking solutions * Assist developers and business stakeholders in secure, cost-effective use of tools and solutions * Support Infrastructure Automation tools and refine ecosystem to meet emergent customer needs Tasks * 5-8+ years of experience in network engineering and/or cloud networking * Strong experience with cloud networking (Azure VNets, AWS VPCs) * Routing, BGP, segmentation, DNS, TCP/IP * Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity and private connectivity patterns (Private Link, Private Endpoints, VPC endpoints) * Hands-on troubleshooting across cloud and on-prem networks * Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts (e.g., Terraform) * Strong collaboration, translation of designs into actionable guidance * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills Key requirements * Competitive compensation & total rewards * Comprehensive healthcare coverage * 401(k) options with employer match * Paid time off including holidays and family leave * Tuition reimbursement and certification support * Wellness programs and EAP resources
