Job description

Experteer Overview In this role, you will shape the next generation of vehicle Ethernet and software architecture. You will collaborate across hardware and software teams to advance automated design tools, network configuration artifacts, and verification benches. You’ll evaluate and implement networking protocols for next-gen architectures and drive hardware/software integration. This position offers impact in transforming vehicle networks and supporting GM’s safety and performance goals. Compensation / Benefits * Design and develop in-vehicle Ethernet systems (architecture, topology, OSI layers) * Build and maintain automated design toolchain for network configurations * Develop algorithms to auto-generate network configuration artifacts * Expand the network verification bench for early validation * Evaluate & validate networking protocols (gPTP, redundant gPTP, traffic shaping) * Develop BTS for in-vehicle communications functionality * Evaluate new hardware/software for technology insertion (e.g., 10BASE-T1S, MCUs/SoCs networking, Open Alliance TC18) Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline * 5+ years designing and implementing complex computer networks * Knowledge of automotive Ethernet, TCP/IP, SOME/IP * Experience with software development lifecycle, testing, simulation/analysis tools, and programming * Experience with real-time operating systems, embedded software architectures, and AUTOSAR Key requirements * hybrid work model * relocation benefits * Total Rewards resources * inclusive workplace * accommodations available
