Job description

Experteer Overview Join Northrop Grumman as a Cyber Systems Engineer to lead security across the system lifecycle. You will drive Program Protection, supply chain risk, and counterfeit prevention within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. The role supports cybersecurity engineering per US government standards and RMF, contributing to mission assurance and system security. You’ll work with diverse teams to implement robust safeguards and influence program execution. This is a chance to shape secure, resilient defense systems at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Develop and update Program Protection and SCRM plans (including Counterfeit Prevention) * Perform supply chain vulnerability and risk assessments with mitigations * Refine Hardware/Software BOMs and conduct criticality analyses * Monitor system changes from the supply chain and review vulnerability reports * Support supplier inquiries, audits, and security-related documentation * Provide technical leadership in SSE, Program Protection, SCRM, and counterfeit prevention * Contribute to agile development processes and interface with cyber functions and management * Lead and mentor junior engineers and IPTs in design, implementation, and verification activities * Support security authorization efforts with appropriate documentation and procedures Tasks * STEM degree with relevant military/professional experience (8+ years for Principal; 8+ years for Senior Principal with Bachelor, 6+ years with Master, or 4+ with PhD) * Experience with US Government SSE activities (security requirements, risk management, secure architecture) * Experience developing and managing Program Protection, SCRM, and Counterfeit Parts plans and performing criticality analysis * RMF experience including System Security Plans, Assessment Reports, attack path modeling, and mitigations * Ability to oversee and guide junior engineers and multiple IPTs/Suppliers/Subcontractors * Active US Government Secret or higher clearance (or in Continuous Evaluation) and ability to obtain SAP clearance * DODD 8140.01 qualifying certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP) * Experience with agile cybersecurity for embedded systems and cross-disciplinary teams Key requirements * health insurance * life and disability insurance * savings plan * Company paid holidays * paid time off (PTO) * bonus opportunities
