Job description
The Security Forces Supply Support Specialist is responsible for supporting all unit supply and logistics operations to ensure equipment accountability, mission readiness, and compliance with Air Force supply procedures. This position manages equipment inventories, coordinates maintenance and repairs, oversees requisitions through the military supply system, and supports equipment custodians in maintaining accurate records., Advise and support all unit supply and logistics operations.
- Coordinate and process all equipment turn-in and disposal actions.
- Transport supplies and equipment to and from designated storage facilities.
- Coordinate shipment of equipment and supplies as required.
- Manage annual equipment inventories and maintain property accountability.
- Determine equipment authorizations and validate unit equipment requirements.
- Maintain bench stock levels of general supplies and mission-essential equipment to ensure readiness.
- Procure, receive, store, and issue supplies and equipment to assigned personnel and work centers.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, and repair activities.
- Initiate and manage service requests and repair contracts for specialized equipment.
- Requisition, track, and receive equipment through the military supply system.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with all applicable supply procedures and forms.
- Assist unit personnel with establishing and maintaining Equipment Custodian binders and accountability documentation.
Requirements
Minimum of three (3) years of U.S. Air Force Material Control/Management or Security Forces Logistics experience within the last five (5) years.
- Ability to complete Air Force Equipment Custodian training within two (2) weeks of arrival if not already certified.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain a Government Driver’s License., OSHA 5K-20K Forklift Certification.
- Experience working with Air Force supply and logistics management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accountability for government property.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting Security Forces or Special Operations units is preferred.
