Experteer Overview In this role you will support the DoS DT program to deliver secure, interconnected network infrastructure that enables U.S. foreign policy operations. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain network components while ensuring compliance with DoD standards. You will monitor performance, perform root-cause analysis, and develop contingency plans for outages. This position offers impactful work in a mission-critical, secure government environment. Compensation / Benefits * Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, and troubleshoot a range of network components and systems * Monitor, tune, and maintain network performance; set standards and ensure compliance across network infrastructure * Provide client consulting and training on network systems, architectures, and best practices * Plan, research, evaluate, and recommend new network and storage technologies * Utilize monitoring and performance analysis tools to identify, isolate, and resolve network issues * Develop solutions to operational challenges within existing equipment constraints * Create and execute contingency plans for network hardware failures including outages * Offer internal consulting and technical guidance to developers, IT operations, and departmental clients Tasks * Bachelorās degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or masterās degree and at least 3 years of experience * Minimum of 8 years of IT network engineering support experience (Tier II/III, implementation, and maintenance) * Expert-level experience with Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst routing and switching, DoD Network Standards (STIGs) * Experience supporting government customers in secure environments with NIPRNET and SIPRNET guidelines * Quality assurance experience on engineering change orders for perimeter security hardware/software * Proficiency in root cause analysis, risk identification, and risk mitigation * Expert knowledge of cabling standards (fiber optic and copper) * Experience with network monitoring tools such as HP OpenView, STORM, AWS, NeuralStar or similar tools * US Citizenship and active/top secret clearance; eligible for TS/SCI with SCI within past 3 years Key requirements *
