Software Engineer / User Experience Applications

Experteer Overview Join Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems as a Software Engineer - User Experience Applications to help deliver enterprise Java-based solutions in an Agile, cross-functional team. You will contribute across the software lifecycle, from prototyping GUI designs to build/test/release, in a high-expectation, on-site environment. You will work with OO design, JEE/SOA and cloud-enabled services to create user-centric interfaces. This role supports mission-critical defense systems and requires eligibility for US government clearance. Compensation / Benefits * Collaborate in a cross-functional team across Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test in an Agile environment * Participate in the software development cycle including prototype and GUI design, and delivery of build/test/release * Develop with object-oriented programming and related technologies (JMS, Web Services, XML; XPath, XSLT, XSD) * Build enterprise solutions using Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) in an SOA environment * Contribute to process-oriented software development throughout the lifecycle * Collaborate with team members regularly * Work full-time on-site with no remote option * Occasional travel up to 10% Tasks * Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience OR Master’s degree in a STEM discipline * Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) * Experience with Agile software development, OO architecture and programming, software integration and testing * Proficiency in Java and Java microservices; GUI applications * Experience with at least two of: Python, Go, C++, C#, PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, or KornShell * Experience with Cloud technologies and service providers * Ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance and SAP/PAR * SAP/PAR required prior to employment and upgraded while in role Key requirements * health insurance * life and disability insurance * savings plan * company paid holidays * paid time off (PTO)
