Experteer Overview As Director, Advanced Robotics Systems in the Analog Garage, you will lead an interdisciplinary team to conceive, prototype, and translate robotic technologies into customer-ready solutions. You drive architecture, roadmaps, and ensure rapid progression from concept to working prototypes and potential productization. You’ll partner with customers, startups, and universities to harvest emerging technologies, while shaping the robotics portfolio and future of ADI. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic direction in a fast, collaborative environment. Compensation / Benefits * Lead an interdisciplinary team from concept to working prototype of robotic systems * Coach, recruit, and develop technical talent while promoting excellence, speed, learning, and accountability * Define and evolve the Advanced Robotics technology roadmap with leadership, customers, and business units * Drive architectural and system-level decisions balancing performance, complexity, scalability, and customer requirements * Communicate design intent, results, and tradeoffs through sketches, slides, and reviews * Create automated testing frameworks for rapid iteration and reliability of PoC hardware/software * Coordinate team contributions to progress complex robotics designs from zero to prototypes * Present prototype plans, metrics, and outcomes to key ADI stakeholders * Lead transitions of prototypes into customer demonstrations, pilots, and productization pathways * Establish relationships with customers, startups, universities, and partners to identify emergent technologies Tasks * MS or PhD in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics or related field * 10+ years of industry or applied research experience * 5+ years leading interdisciplinary technical teams and complex programs * Deep expertise in robotics systems including mechanical, controls, software, algorithms, and integration * Hands-on experience with proof-of-concept models for electromechanical and sensor prototypes * Strong understanding of hardware development principles and product design application * Experience in fast-paced, agile, cross-functional environments * Proven ability to communicate complex tech concepts clearly with visuals * Experience with full product lifecycle and meeting milestones * Player-coach with experience delivering robots to customers * Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication * Willingness to travel domestically and internationally Key requirements * medical, vision and dental coverage * 401k * paid vacation * holidays * sick time * discretionary bonus
