Endpoint Engineer - macOS

Experteer Overview In this Endpoint Engineer role, you will be the macOS expert within the Enterprise Technology team, solving complex endpoint challenges and enhancing the user experience across the firm. You’ll support a technical team, serve as a key escalation point for macOS issues, and design scalable solutions to improve uptime and productivity. The role blends hands-on troubleshooting with long-term systems thinking to deliver measurable improvements at scale. You’ll work to align end-user computing with HRT’s mission of high-performance, research-driven trading environments. Compensation / Benefits * Create and maintain a best-in-class end user computing experience * Act as escalation point for macOS engineering, security, and deployment issues * Investigate recurring problems and implement long-term preventive solutions with documentation * Research, test, and implement best practices for our technical stack and processes * Educate end users on best practices and improve adoption of workflows and tools * Support cross-functional collaboration to deliver end-user computing improvements Tasks * Deep knowledge and experience with macOS * Experience provisioning, deploying, and maintaining macOS endpoints using ABM/MDM (Jamf Pro, Workspace One, or Microsoft Intune) * Experience with macOS packaging and deployment tools (AutoPkg, Munki) * Proficiency with Bash or Python * Familiarity with enterprise networking (802.1X, Wi-Fi, IPv4) * Experience with collaboration tools, conferencing systems, remote IT tools, and ticketing systems * Collaborative, can-do mindset and willingness to support others * Effective communication skills to translate technical information for non-technical audiences * Empathy for end-users and ability to craft solutions under pressure * Nice to have: osquery, Salt, or iOS management Key requirements * discretionary performance-based bonuses * competitive benefits package
