Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr IAM Engineer for a leading gaming and technology client. This individual will join a highly technical Identity & Access Management team responsible for supporting a large-scale enterprise identity ecosystem. The role will initially focus on operational IAM support, troubleshooting complex identity challenges, and learning the existing environment, while gradually transitioning into a balanced engineering and operations position.

The ideal candidate is an engineer first, with hands-on experience across identity platforms such as Okta and SailPoint, and the ability to automate processes through scripting and code. This person will work on identity integrations, governance initiatives, automation projects, and configuration-as-code efforts while helping modernize IAM practices. Candidates who have leveraged AI tools to improve engineering workflows and who are interested in emerging non-human identity initiatives will be especially attractive. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven IAM professional looking to make meaningful contributions within an innovative and highly collaborative engineering organization.

Day to day:

  • Manage escalated IAM support requests and access-related issues

  • Troubleshoot Okta and SailPoint platform issues

  • Support access reviews, governance processes, and identity lifecycle management

  • Learn and operate within a complex enterprise IAM ecosystem

  • Build and maintain Okta integrations utilizing SAML, OIDC, and SCIM

  • Configure and support SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (IdentityNow)

  • Assist with identity governance, role design, and access modeling initiatives

  • Contribute to IAM automation projects and configuration-as-code pipelines

  • Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational processes

Requirements

3+ years of enterprise IAM engineering experience

  • Hands-on experience with Okta and SailPoint

  • Strong understanding of SSO, MFA, Identity Governance, and Access Management

  • Experience troubleshooting complex IAM environments and access issues

  • Scripting and automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Go, etc.)

  • Ability to review, understand, and contribute to code

  • Experience working with APIs, Git, and configuration-as-code environments

  • Strong documentation and written communication skills

  • Ability to ramp quickly and work independently with minimal oversight

  • Engineering-focused mindset versus operational or administrative support - Direct Okta administration and integration experience

  • SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (IdentityNow) experience

  • Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID experience

  • Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code experience

  • PKI, Secrets Management, or Certificate Lifecycle Management experience

  • AI-assisted development and automation experience

  • Experience with agentic identities or non-human identities

  • Okta and/or SailPoint certifications
