Systems Engineer - Level 5

Experteer Overview In this role you’ll drive the development of mission-focused satellite ground software within an Agile team, shaping the product vision and backlog. You will collaborate with cross-functional groups to deliver high-quality systems and software solutions, leveraging MBSE and CAMEO to define architectures and interfaces. You’ll test, verify, and demonstrate capabilities to customers while evolving the product roadmap in response to feedback. This position combines technical leadership with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Compensation / Benefits * Drive features for satellite ground systems within an Agile framework * Participate in working groups and translate customer needs into digital artifacts for implementation * Lead/assist verification planning, test requirements, and key product artifacts * Contribute across systems engineering disciplines: requirements, interfaces, architecture, design, integration, test * Engage in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews aligned with product vision * Provide SME input in Space-Vehicle Command and Control and collaborate with other teams * Conduct demos and briefings for customers and senior leadership * Ensure integration of capabilities with ground satellite software systems * Use Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for tracking and knowledge management * Support milestones and Agile product increments; engage with control boards and multiple working groups * Tailor responsibilities based on skillset and program needs * Prepare and execute tests and verification activities Tasks * Bachelor/Master/PhD in STEM with 8-12+ years depending on degree (minimum: Bachelor) * Active SCI clearance at application and pre-start; program access maintained during tenure * 2+ years MBSE experience using MBSE methodology and tooling * 2+ years No Magic Cameo experience * Experience in space-vehicle, command-and-control, mission management, or related software subsystems * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Experience with SE processes and artifacts including use cases, interface control, class and sequence diagrams, database design, REST/HTTP protocols * Experience on Agile programs and with software development lifecycles Key requirements * Medical, Dental & Vision coverage * 401k * Education assistance * Life insurance * Employee assistance programs & work/life solutions * Paid time off and flexible schedules
