Job description

Ensures that the campus community receives appropriate electronic access privileges in a timely manner while adhering to applicable security protocols., 1. Responsible for granting, removing, and troubleshooting of the electronic door access systems via system interface

  1. Works closely with the Campus Services Customer Service Center for elevated door access concerns
  2. Supports the department in generating user access lists and lock access logs upon request from department heads, deans, chairs and/or designees
  3. Provides support for annual audit on door access privileges as assigned
  4. Assists in the development and maintenance of door access standards, policies and procedures
  5. Assists with system and data updates, door access system upgrades and other designated door access systems projects, This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position will not be required to drive. This role is considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card). This position does not travel.

Requirements

Technical or Associates degree from an accredited institution of higher education or associated institution in related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience

Required Experience One (1) year related experience

Preferred Experience Previous higher education experience Customer service experience Previous experience with IT help desk or customer service support Previous experience with electronic access systems

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES Able to deal with multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE Experience with one or more electronic access control systems, particular experience with SALTO System, Onity Integra and Lenel OnGuard are preferred, Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, technology, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite) Strong attention to detail and follow up skills Strong customer service skills and phone etiquette
