Lead Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the development of Foundation IP, delivering a scalable web app and Java/Spring Boot REST services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to build customer-facing software and maintain high-quality, secure code. You’ll own technical direction, perform design reviews, and mentor teammates while delivering features in two-week sprints. Compensation / Benefits * Design and develop features across Angular 17 frontend and Java/Spring Boot REST services * Support Foundation IP, an external-facing product used by customers * Handle a mix of new development, client-reported bugs, and maintenance tasks * Apply engineering best practices: unit testing, OOD, code reviews, secure coding, OWASP Top 10 * Work in small scrum teams with QA, BAs, POs, and other engineers for planning and delivery * Conduct scoped POCs, create design docs, communicate risks, participate in RCA, and contribute to prevention strategies * Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and foster a collaborative engineering culture Tasks * 5+ years hands-on software engineering, including Java development * 5+ years Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring REST, JPA, Hibernate, and open-source libraries * 5+ years SQL Server experience with queries and relational databases * 5+ years JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end development using Angular * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience Key requirements *
