Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you drive the software test automation discipline within the Aeronautics Systems CoTE, shaping tools, processes, and metrics to deliver reliable, verifiable software across programs. You lead strategic initiatives for test automation, shift-left testing, and a Test as Code culture, enabling scalable, reusable engineering practices. You work with cross-program teams to raise the bar on performance and quality, using an AI-augmented software factory approach. This is a leadership-focused, impact-driven position at the heart of NGAS software excellence. Compensation / Benefits * Define and maintain test verification and automation tools, processes, training, and a metrics roadmap aligned with product strategy * Foster a Test as Code culture through code reviews, PR templates, and shared libraries * Provide leadership and define strategic technical priorities within the Software discipline * Interface with EI&E discipline leads to identify program needs and close gaps in tools and training * Lead development, deployment, and sustainment of sector-wide engineering tools, processes, digital solutions, and training * Build and sustain a Software Community of Practice across programs * Act as trusted advisor to resolve technical performance shortfalls and verify improvements * Capture and embed lessons learned and best practices across programs Tasks * Bachelor’s in STEM with 14+ years in software engineering OR Master in STEM with 12+ years OR PhD with 9+ years * Active DoD Secret clearance in-scope and eligibility for Top Secret/SCI * Ability to attain/maintain Special Program Access (PAR) * Strong experience in software verification, assurance, or test automation in safety-critical or aerospace environments ( 5 years) * Strong knowledge of test-automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines * Hands-on experience with Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing * Ability to travel ~25% * Proficiency with JUnit, Selenium, GoogleTest, PyTest, etc. Key requirements * health insurance * life and disability insurance * savings plan * Company-paid holidays * paid time off (PTO) * relocation assistance
