Job description

Experteer Overview As a Sr. Staff Engineer in the Software Test Automation Discipline Lead role, you drive the end-to-end test automation ecosystem for the Aeronautics Sector. You lead tooling, processes, training, and metrics to ensure software is verifiably correct and continuously improved. You shape a Test-as-Code culture, collaborate with EI&E leaders, and steward scalable, interoperable engineering tools across programs. This role offers impact across multiple sites and a chance to influence the software factory and product lifecycle. Compensation / Benefits * Define and maintain test verification and automation tools, processes, training, and a metrics roadmap aligned to product strategy * Foster a Test as Code culture via code reviews, PR templates, and shared libraries * Provide strategic leadership for the software discipline’s priorities aligned with sector strategy * Interface with EI&E discipline leads to identify program needs and close gaps in tools and training * Lead development, deployment, and sustainment of sector-wide engineering tools, processes, digital solutions, and training * Build and sustain a Software Community of Practice across programs * Act as trusted advisor to resolve technical performance shortfalls through RCA and corrective action * Capture and share lessons learned to raise technical performance across programs Tasks * Bachelor’s in STEM and 14+ years of software engineering experience OR Master’s in STEM and 12+ years OR PhD and 9+ years * Subject Matter Expert in core technical competencies listed * Active DoD Secret clearance in-scope with Top Secret/SCI eligibility * Ability to attain and maintain PAR * 5+ years in safety-critical or aerospace software verification, assurance, or test automation * Strong experience with test-automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines * Hands-on experience with Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing Key requirements * health insurance coverage * life and disability insurance * savings plan * Company paid holidays * paid time off (PTO) * relocation assistance
